Honor Society
Dear Student and Parents/Guardians,
Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that as a result of your academic achievement during the Fall 2024 semester, you may be eligible for the Arroyo Seco Honor Society. This invitation does not automatically guarantee membership into this society. In order to qualify, you must have earned a 3.5 grade point average for the 1st and the 2nd quarters of this current school year. If you meet this requirement, you then must complete the attached application form with the necessary parent signature and complete the verification of service hours. Please consider making a $10 donation to help support the Honor Society Program. Return the application and the check to the counseling/ASB secretary, Ms. Lopez, located in the counseling office no later than Thursday, February 6th. The service hours do not have to be completed by the time that the application is turned in. Parents can sign the service hours form with an explanation of when and where the hours will be completed at a future date. Checks should be made out to Arroyo Seco ASB.
Important Dates for the Fall Honor Society Program
January 24th Applications will be available online (Counselors’ Google Classroom & Honor Society Webpage) and in the counseling office for students to pick-up.
February 6th Applications are due to the counseling/ASB secretary, Ms. Lopez, in the counseling office. No late applications will be accepted. Please consider making a $10 donation to help support the Honor Society program.
February 13th Names of all the applicants who have been accepted to the Honor Society will be posted in the Counselors’ Google Classroom.
Feb 19 & Feb 21 Mandatory lunch-time informational meetings in the MPR. February 19th for 7th grade students and Feb 21st for 8th grade students.
April 2nd The induction ceremony will be held at Arroyo Seco JHS in the evening. The 7th grade ceremony will begin at 5:00 and the 8th grade ceremony will begin at 6:30.

How can you become a member?

Earn all three medals by joining the Honor Society for all three terms.
7th Grade Spring Induction - Bronze Medal
8th Grade Fall Induction - Silver Medal
8th Grade Spring Induction - Gold Medal
